The flag stands in front of the commanding officers quarters.
This was constructed in 1869 and used until 1891. Col. Benjamin H. Grierson ,Tenth Calvary ,and family lived there from 1882 till1885,
The commissary was a pretty large building.It held the garrison food supply. Enlisted men had rations-the officer's and civilians could buy thier food.
The two story officer's quarters were furnished! Very nice back in the days!!!!
